World Tour - June 2005
(Click on the pictures for a larger view)

June 1, 2005 - After spending the Memorial Day weekend with friends and family in the Philadelphia area I was once again on the road.

I thought I would start with my old stomping grounds - The Valley Forge National Historical Park (Two of the many monuments in the park).

General George Washington's monument in Valley Forge National Historical Park.

After my stay in the Philadelphia area I began my trip North.  One of my first stops was Max BMW Motorcycles (http://www.maxbmwmotorcycles.com/).

This is the 2nd time I have used Max BMW Motorcycles services while I was on the road and I would recommend them to everybody.  They have always made accommodations to fit me in their schedule regardless of their workload.

After my stop at Max BMW I ride to Lake George, NY -   A beautiful 32 mile lake located in the Adirondack Mountains Park in Northern New York.

Downtown Ticonderoga, NY.  A town with quite a bit of history - Fort Ticonderoga was fought over by the French and British for years.

I mentioned this place on my Cross-Country USA 2004 page...

Gus' Famous Read Hots - in Plattsburgh, NY.  No trip to Plattsburgh would be complete without getting some of Gus' Famous Red Hots.

After visiting my Grandmother in Plattsburgh, NY, I  take  the ferry from NY to Vermont.

My motorcycle on the deck of the ferry headed to Vermont.

One of the many locks in located in NY.  The lock system allows boats to travel form Hudson Bay all the way to the Great Lakes.

The Capital of Vermont, Montpelier.

A neat little store/post office located in West Danville, Vermont (05873).

A great place to get a cold drink and something to eat when you are on the road.

Wooden covered bridge - West Danville, Vermont.

Lancaster, NH - A memorial to the September 11th, 2001, terrorist attack on the World Trade Center.

I told all my friends in San Diego, "If I keep riding North sooner or later I will run into Mexico."  I was right!

This is the 'Town of Mexico' located in the state of Maine.

Outside of Acadia National Park, Maine.

Acadia National Park, Maine.

Waterfall, northern Maine.

Confederation Bridge - The bridge connecting Prince Edward Island to mainland Canada.

It is free to cross going to Prince Edward Island but you have to pay to get off.  Quite the scam if you ask me, but well worth the price.

Prince Edward Island (Cavendish) - The home of author L.M. Montgomery's first novel about the little orphan, Anne Shirley (Anne Of Green Gables).

This is a picture of the Green Gables Post Office.

My friends here came over to have their picture taken.  I think they were looking for a handout because they lost interest in me when they realized they were not going to get any freebies.
