The Buxton Memorial - erected to commemorate the emancipation of slaves following the 1833 Slavery Abolition Act.

The memorial was donated by Charles Buxton MP in memory of his father, Sir Thomas Fowell Buxton, and those associated with him in the struggle for the abolition of slavery in the British colonies..

In memory of the Royal Artillery Brigades who lost their lives during WWII.

 

The Marble Arch - originally the main entrance to Buckingham Palace it was moved to its present site in 1851 when an extension was built to Buckingham Palace, leaving insufficient space for the Arch.

There was a lot of video's being shot all around London.  These two girls were in the process of filming a music video right next to the Royal Albert Monument.  They were nice enough to strike a pose for me.

Ester and Egg - Two new friends I made while visiting London.  They were on holiday from the Netherlands.

Getting ready for the switching of the guard...

The switching of the guard is different than the changing of the guard.  Each sentry duty is 2 hours then a fresh set of guards come out.

I you have the opportunity to see this I highly recommend it.  The best musical I have ever seen!

The pub I hung out at while staying at the Greenhill Leisure Park on Greenhill Farm outside of Oxford - originally established in 1715.
